Q: Under Massachusetts law, explain a funeral home and a crematory’s role in a cremation?

A Massachusetts-licensed funeral home manages all cremation planning and services, while a licensed crematory performs the cremation. The cremains are then returned to the funeral home for family pickup or mailing.

“I Googled cheap cremation in Massachusetts on the internet and found your company. After carefully reading through your website, I decided to give you a call … and, boy, I’m glad I did. While the simple cremation pricing was remarkable, your services and professionalism were anything but cheap. Losing my dad was very difficult, but the team at Casper Funeral Services played a major role in helping me and my family get through this trying time. Thank you.”

“My dad Ronald Johnson passed away on 11/28/2025. Casper funeral home made it an easy process to put my dad to rest. They allowed me to see him before his cremation, which was very important to me. Cremation was affordable and they was able to ship my dad to remains to me, due to me living in North Carolina. Sorry it took me so long to leave a review, but I would choose and recommend them to anyone.”
